Marketing Specialist

Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Position: Full-time

The Marketing Specialist at Universal Processing is designed to develop and grow the company’s marketing strategies both internally and externally to promote its products and services. This role is also responsible for the development of the marketing services we provide to our clients (small-to-medium size merchants) through various digital marketing platforms with the goal of increasing their top lines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build, launch, track, and report on the performance of UP’s comprehensive digital marketing programs provided to merchants
  • Contact and converse with merchants to identify marketing needs and suggest promotional campaigns;
  • in conjunction with client needs, establish digital marketing campaigns and targets; create digital marketing campaigns to increase merchants’ revenue, including but not limited to write, edit, and post content to multiple media platforms; maintain social media contents and reviews
  • Closely work with team members and clients to ensure that the (text and graphics) are regularly updated and accurate, including review and approval of all changes submitted through management system
  • Ensure clients measurably grow their digital presence
  • Work with management and IT team to produce and interpret monthly web traffic reports
  • Track, and report on the performance of UP’s comprehensive social media strategies that measurably grows engagement and reach among prospective customers and audience
  • Track and report on key performance indicators; ensure that growth targets are met
  • Support sales team to follow up with clients’ marketing requests and campaign progress
  • Coordinate with senior members to advanced marketing tasks, such as managing market offline events, social media contents, data analytics and marketing consultancy for clients


  • Proficient in English is required, and proficient in Chinese is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required, and in Chinese is preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in creating and managing social media campaigns, preferably within retail sector. Demonstrated strong social media technical skills (photography, video editing, graphic design, etc.)
  • Comfort with and fluency in a wide range of social media platforms (including emerging platforms) and with content management systems; understand of key performance indicators and industry best practices
  • Strong editing and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel is required, SEO and Google AdWords experience are preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat preferred
  • Able to take initiative to solve problem effectively and proactively
  • Able to accomplish tasks before deadlines and under pressure
  • Able to organize multiple tasks with priority and detail-oriented
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team and as an individual
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Education Requirement:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communication, and Design is preferred
  • An advanced degree will be an advantage
  • Professional work experience can be substituted for degree depending on the person
