Recruitment Associate

Position: Full-time

Start Date: Mid of June, 2017

Location: Midtown, NY (must be able to come in for face-to-face interview)

Summary:

Universal Processing Headquarters is seeking a creative and energetic Recruitment Associate to join the team. As a Recruitment Associate, you are the first point of contact potential candidates have with Universal Processing, and you serve as an ambassador that exemplifies our culture and core values. You are creative and driven, with strong interpersonal skills to forge long lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. You are also business-minded, with the innate desire to gain insights into the bigger picture of the organization. Finally, you are good with numbers and figures to draw insights from data in recruitment.

You will report to our HR Manager and work with a group of entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and highly skilled professionals. This is an entry-level position designed for those who demonstrate a passion for recruitment and are willing to learn more in the HR field.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for all hiring projects in New York City
  • Create well-written job descriptions by conversing with hiring managers about job duties, qualifications, and recruitment timeline
  • Advertise employment opportunities on university job portals and external job boards
  • Represent the organization to attend recruitment and career fair events; demonstrate Universal Processing’s core values when interacting with potential candidates
  • Collect, organize and screen applications for open positions; maintain and manage an accurate data entry into our Applicant Tracking System
  • Perform phone interviews for different positions, screen out unqualified candidates and schedule on-site interviews
  • Prepare training and welcome packages for new hires
  • Conduct new hire onboarding, including but limit to I-9 forms, E-verify, tax withholding forms, and file new hires to HR system
  • Prepare monthly recruitment and talent acquisition report
  • Evaluate recruitment effectiveness by performing data analysis; set the direction of future HR practices
  • Plan, write and design monthly HR newsletter to all hiring managers within the organization
  • Conduct exit interviews on terminating or resigning staff
  • Stay current on recruitment and hiring channels and practice in the marketplace
  • Stay current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state labor practices
  • Assist in other personnel administrative tasks or projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Management, or other related fields
  • Minimum six months experience in recruiting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills. Able to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners, including hiring managers, candidates, university career centers and third-party recruiting agencies
  • Work independently with a sense of urgency; prioritize varying recruitment projects
  • Demonstrate diversity of thought, culture and background
  • High level of work ethics and confidentiality
  • Must be detail-oriented, reliable, professional and approachable
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Experience in ATS and HRIS is desirable
